"Dr. Thomas B. Freeney, Of Delmar, Found Dead DELMAR, Jan. 5 ( Special). Dr. Thomas Barton Freeney, 67, optometrist of East Street, was found dead yesterday afternoon on the farm of Edward Nichols near town. Dr. Freeney was subject to heart attacks and was stricken while digging in a field. A former president of the State Optometrist Association, he also was a former employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad but was engaged in his present business for many years. He was a member of Delmar Lodge 201, AF and AM, and was a director of the Bank of Delmar. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Sarah Webster Freeney; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Howard of Salisbury and Mrs. Charles Edward Herget of Baltimore; four grandchildren and several sisters."
