    • Jackson, Mapp, Perkins notes:

      "She joined the White Plains Baptist Church by Expression of Faith on 20 Sep 1837 and left by letter on 19 Dec 1857 with her husband John S. Jackson. They returned by letter on 20 Mar 1869 and remained until their deaths."

      From My Search For John Stephen Jackson:

      "Sept 1832 (Melissa Frances McBride) She apparently went to live with William and Cynthia (Shepard) Johnson in Taliafero Co., GA." 

      JSH note: Melissa Frances McBride would be the 1st cousin once removed of Cynthia (Shepard) Johnson assuming Cynthia is the daughter of Synthia Rhodes Shepperd, and granddaughter of John Rhodes. If Cynthia is not the daughter of Synthia Rhodes Shepperd then a (non blood) relationship is that William Johnson is Melissa Frances McBride's sister's (Elmina) husband's (John Johnson Howell) uncle!
