"State of Georgia, Greene County - I Benjamin Rhodes of the County and State aforesaid, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, viz, First I lend unto my wife Elizabeth Rhodes One third part of all my Estate, both real and personal during life. Secondly - To my son Benjamin Rhodes decd I leave nothing he having received his portion in his lifetime. Thirdly to Charity Shepperd decd I leave nothing, she also having received her portion in her lifetime. Fourthly To the heirs of John Rhodes decd Delilah Veazy, Champion Rhodes and Synthia Shepperd I give and bequeath the whole of my Estate both real and personal to be equally divided amongst them. Fifthly - I leave Abner Veazy my Lawful Executor to this my last Will and Testament. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 7th day of October 1809. - Ben Rhodes.
