"Two of the sisters of the Rev. Hugh m. sons of MALCOLM.  His sister Jane was the second wife of Niel Campbell; his sister Elizabeth was the wife of Niel's brother Duncan.  the Rev. Hugh's nephew, Duncan R. McDiarmid, m. Mary (Meme) Campbell, dau. of Niel's eldest son, Malcolm. The Revl Hugh's brother Archie Married Annie McLarty and she was a niece of Isabel McLarty, wife of Peter Campbell, bro. of Niel so, as you can see, the McDiarmids have much kinship with the descendants of MALCOLM."
