      Brother, I received your latter and was very glad to hear from you, I thank you for the latter for I had given up ever hering from you again, you mite have moved and I could not tall whare to dirict a latter I was very glad to hear from you all am glad if you have got a good cuntry hope you will have a planty of the good things of this life and grace in the hart to fit you for a better world it is a cumfort to have your children around you that you can see them whan you pleze I hope tha will be good to you and mother in old age

      I heard from our Sister muxley a fue days sence tha wair well hant bin to see me about 2 years tha air old folks her boys air both married I see Sister Wright 14 months past she is all broke down I shall never see her again tha air very poar have you heard of the dath of Sister Ingols she has bin dad a bought two years you see half our nombers is gone thair sprits air gone to god how gave them and tha rest of us have arived to old age and must soon follow tham and may it pleze god to prepair us for that event that we may have our lamps trimed and burning wateing for the Saviour coming in the cloud of heavens Judgment

      my Clarasa Tracy died a year last august in hopes of a better world my wifes daughter that lived with us died last November Clarasa dodge is her name all my famley and children air well I have 25 grandchildren and 2 grate grandchildren and lost one so you see thair will be a nation by and by if tha live

      we have had a very plasent winter but little snow abaut three weks slaing the river broke up in Jenuary drove all before it from miles and amost every bridge on connicut river went with the ize the water has bin warm sents that, cattle and sheap out in the lots a feeding we think you have had the winter insted of Vermont hay is planty wet, stock high, I paid ninety dollars last fall for a yoak of 3 year old stears prety high

      Johnson Delano lives in Pomfret farm worth Fifteen hundred dollars and a prety stock and to make him more comforttable we trust he has found that relegon which the gospel of Jesus christ offered to sinners this last winter the other boys live whair tha did when you laft hear I have to work hard have no man or boy to halp I keep my property to my salf and I think I always shall while I live

      Worster lives on part of the farm by him self, grain is plantv wheat from $1.75 to 2.OO--wrye I dollar, corn 40 cents oats 37 cents potatoes 25

      your Porter friends air well but Elam Porter died last fall I have not heard but Websters famley air well brother we air old men I am 72 years old and thair is a grate space betwene us

      we shall never meet to gather again in this world but if we live godly here we shall mete to gather in a better world to part no more but we can hear from echother if we will but you mite rite and offen, dont you fale we can hear from echother as offen as whan you lived in this state
