• Notes

  Visited her grave in May 2004 at the Greenmount Cemetery.  Photo on file.  Cemetery record reads "Oct. 1888 Baby Edith Boyer" and indicates it is the only grave in the family plot with a headstone. (which we verified).  Others in the same plot are: George W. Boyer (father), Gwendolen A. (mother), Mabel G. (sister). The cemetery records show that the only gravestone marking the plot is that of Baby Edith Boyer, however upon visiting, no gravestone, other than one that was illegible, could be found. Evelyn Boyer notes: "Died as an infant sometime before her mother died in the fire. Her gravestone was shaped like a cradle." [2, 7]
