- Excerpts from obituary:
Attended Dartmouth college for two years, 1926-27, and belonged to Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He left school to help his father build homes during hte Florida boom. Unfromtunately, the depression set in and he could not return to his architetrual studies. He volunteered for the Arumy during WWII and was commissioned a Captain on March 25, 1946 in the Coast Artillery Corp. He honorably served in active Federal Service from December 3, 1942 to June 23, 1946. He selected Houston, TX for a career in insurance and went to work for Langham, Langston & Dyer Insurance and remained for 40 years, retiring as a Senior Partner in 1975. He had an unbroken record of attendance of 16 years as a Rotarian. [5]
